Background and challenge
Our client, a forward-thinking governmental entity, has taken a significant step in shaping the e-mobility landscape for their PPP projects. Under this concept, they undertook the responsibility to set up networks of electric vehicle charging points and provide e-mobility services as a standard provision to all guests and visitors of the tourist area developments. As a fist step, Neollect was asked to design this infrastructure for a mountain resort with more than 2.000 rooms.
Approach and recommendations
Our approach included the following steps:

  • analyzed the anticipated annual number of guests and visitors expected to visit the resort over a span of 12 years;
  • determined the expected growth of electric vehicle use in the region and considered the demographics of the resort visitors to quantify the potential EV users;
  • assessed the existing EV public charging network and the distance from nearby urban centers;
  • decided the network’s capacity to meet current and future demand and identified the need for additional charging points;
  • designed the network tailored and recommended the services to be provided.
Following the world’s “green agenda” by adopting EV mobility solutions
Impact
Our work resulted in a robust charging network totally aligned with the vision of the stakeholders. Some key aspects of the network included:

  • installation of 25 AC chargers with 2 charging points each, strategically located in the available parking areas
  • incorporation of 5 DC chargers positioned close to 5* hotels to cater high-end clientele
  • utilization of the nearby city’s charging network, consisting of 14 stations placed in public areas (parking lots, public buildings etc.) and commercial establishments
  • integration of 10 AC points dedicated to e-scooter parking and charging, supporting micromobility
